Residential Services

Moving can be a very stressful time for a family.  You need a mover who will take care with your possessions and understand your needs.  Massapequa Movers offers free estimates, competitive rates, and compassion for our residential customers.

How it works.  Our estimator will walk room by room with you.  This is when you will discuss packing and unpacking, and we will ask you questions to help determine your needs.  After all the details are discussed, you will receive our written estimate.  If you engage our services, we will provide you with labels for all of your items.  We can also supply you with boxes, tape, etc.  Or, we can arrange to pack for you.

Packing Services.  If you choose to use our packing services, our packers will arrive a day or two before moving day.  Special cartons, packing material, and techniques wil be used to protect fragile items.  If necessary, crates will be built for special items.  If you choose unpacking services, we will unpack all of your boxes and place items where directed.  Packing trash will be removed for you.

Transporting.  Your furniture will be wrapped and/or padded.  A detailed inventory which includes the condition of each item will be prepared for your approval (and your protection).  Each item and carton will be numbered so that nothing is misplaced.  Your items are then securely loaded onto our van with care.  Restraints are used so that there is no movement of your possessions while in transit.

Storage.  In some instances your new residence may not be ready before you must vacate your old one.  We can provide storage for you in our warehouse and transport your possessions to you when you are ready to receive them.
